When you buy an item from a seller at TheIndiaBazaar.com, you should be able to expect a high standard of customer service, both before and after you receive your order.
Returns PolicyTheIndiaBazaar.com is a marketplace which allows multiple merchants to sell their products. Merchants who sell their items on TheIndiaBazaar vary in their returns policies. To find the returns' policy for items sold by an theIndiaBazaar Merchant, go to the product detail page for any item sold by the Merchant; click on the logo or name of the merchant, and you will be directed to a page where you can read more information about that Merchant and their Return Policy. Alternately, you can login to your account, go to order history, find the order in question and click on the seller link at the top of the order invoice. If you have any questions regarding your return, please contact the Merchant directly.
All items must be returned to the Merchant in accordance with the Merchant's own return policy and should NOT be returned to TheIndiaBazaar.com.
Please make sure to read the Sellers return policy, as each seller may have a different return policy.
General Returns Information
If you receive an item different than what was described or the product is clearly in a worse condition than indicated, please contact the seller directly within 24 hrs of receiving the shipment to report the defect or damage. You should be able to reach an agreement with one another. If necessary, you can return your item to the seller for a refund. Please note that items purchased from sellers need to be returned directly to the seller and NOT to TheIndiaBazaar.com.
To be eligible for a refund, you must return your item to the seller in the same condition you received it once the seller agrees that the item can be returned. When writing to the seller to arrange for its return, please be as descriptive as possible regarding the problem with the merchandise.
Shipping and handling charges for returning Marketplace items are borne by the buyer. To ensure the safe return of the merchandise, items valued at over $50 must be returned to the seller with a trackable shipping service. If the order is valued at $100 or more, insure the shipment for the value of the merchandise and ship your return with a signature shipping service. For items of lesser value, use USPS delivery confirmation service to show delivery.
Using a trackable return shipping method is the only way for us to verify that your merchandise has been received by the seller. TheIndiaBazaar.com strives to maintain a marketplace that is fair to both buyers and sellers. If you do not use a traceable method to return your item and you file a claim, that may be grounds for your claim to be denied.
Note that Delivery Confirmation through the U.S. Postal Service does not offer a signature service. If the seller's return address is a P.O. Box, you will need to ship USPS, but be sure to request signature confirmation and insurance for USPS shipments.
Refund PolicySellers can create full or partial refunds for buyers, including original shipping costs.
When you purchase an item via TheIndiaBazaar.com, TheIndiaBazaar Payments charges your credit card and passes on payment, after subtracting a commission, to your seller. For you to secure a refund equivalent to your initial purchase price, your seller must request a refund to TheIndiaBazaar.com.
In any case where a refund is necessary, such as when your seller is out of stock and cannot ship, or when you return an item, it is the responsibility of the seller to request that refund. We provide sellers with instructions about how to request refunds.
Sellers may request for a full or partial refunds for an order. If a new item is returned opened, or an item is returned as unwanted (i.e., not defective), the seller may deduct a reasonable restocking fee from your refund.
Refunds are typically processed within one week of the seller's request. The funds will be deposited back in your credit card account, and TheIndiaBazaar.com will send you confirmation of the refund via e-mail.
